Jasper Johns: Variations on a Theme

One of the most celebrated artists of the modern era, Jasper Johns brought new advances to printmaking. Drawing from the artist’s rich vocabulary of images, this exhibition features approximately 100 iconic examples of targets, flags, numbers, and other subjects he explored from 1960 to today. The first exhibition of his work at The Phillips Collection, this exhibition celebrates the legacy of Johns’ prints, as seen in his visionary response to lithography, intaglio, silkscreen, and lead relief sculpture.
